Skirball Center Anyone?

The Skirball Cultural Center is a common stop for our Los Angeles limo service.  It is an educational institution devoted to sustaining Jewish heritage and democratic ideals. Open since 1996, the Center, named after Jack Skirball and Audrey Skirball-Kenis, features regularly changing film events, exhibitions, theater performances, family, comedy, and literary and cultural programs.

In the first 10 years it was open, the center attracted nearly 5 million people through its doors. The Center's main exhibition, Visions, and Values: Jewish Life from Antiquity to America, traces the history, values, and experience of Jews over four thousand years. Skirball’s exhibition galleries feature changing displays of works, rare artifacts, multimedia installations, photographs, historical documents, works of fine art, and sound recordings. All about the Jewish people’s journey and their experience in the United States. 

The Skirball’s museum collection has over 3000 items including archaeological artifacts from biblical periods; Jewish ceremonial objects; the Project Americana collection, containing items about the “everyday life of ordinary people” in the U.S. since 1850. The Noah’s Ark galleries are a very popular attraction in the Center with interactive exhibits, including nearly 300 animals. Brooklyn-based designer Chris M. Green created additional life-sized animals, and many puppets to be operated by the staff. Outside, the experience includes a rainbow mist installation that kids and adults alike enjoy.

Not only is the Skirball Cultural Center a fun attraction here in Southern California, but it is a very educational one.
